Client Testimonials

  • “We sincerely thank you for everything you’ve done. You took great care of our 4 legged friend. You also understood the overload of stress that our family encountered. We appreciate the tender love shown to our pets while in your care.”
  •

  • “Our family would like to give you a heartfelt thank you for the loving, compassionate and understanding care that you gave to our pet over her lifetime. You were always careful to give the best and worst case scenarios, but always ended our visits with a hopeful remark. We put all of our faith and trust in your hands and you never failed us.”
  •

  • “I just wanted to thank you for everything you did to help my little Chinchilla. I was losing hope that her abscess would never go away… But thanks to you, she is once again happy and healthy.”
  •

  • “Amazing vets and staff! I’ve been going here for years and they truly care!”
  •

  • “I absolutely love this clinic and all of the staff that work there. We have been seeing Don for years and I highly recommend him. My dog recently had surgery on his gums and we were very impressed with Don’s work and how my fur baby was treated. The staff here is so great – I will never go to another clinic.”
  •

  • “I have been taking my cat to Companion for ten years. I find that they are truly wonderful. Any problems were addressed and treated properly. I highly recommend any of the veterinarians working there.”
  •

  • “The compassion and care shown towards my pets over the years have been second to none. If our human medical doctors showed half the compassion that these vets do, patients would be much happier! My cat was in serious renal failure. Got diagnosed early, and had a great quality of life for a long time!”
  •

  • “I have been taking my pets there for over 10 years. I have had the opportunity to meet all of the vets and they are wonderful. I completely trust them and know they truly care. I have been to other vets before and this is by far the best!”

Black History & Veterinary Medicine - Dr. Alfreda Johnson Webb (1923-1992)

Today's medical historian of colour is Dr. Alfreda Johnson Webb. Dr. Webb graduated with her DVM with our previous blog star Dr. Hinton, as one of the first female African American veterinarians in the US. Both of these great women were also the first black members of the Women’s Veterinary Medicine Association. She also founded the School of Veterinary Medicine of North Carolina State University. In 1971, she became the first African American woman in the North Carolina General Assembly, serving on many committees including serving as the Chairperson of Minority Affairs, president of the Democratic Women of NC, and a member of the NC Council on Sickle Cell Syndrome.   So you can see despite so many obstacles Dr. Webb was still able to make history and so can we!   Written by: Ashley G, VT   Resources: https://www.medvetforpets.com/black-history-month-2021-black-veterinary-history-makers/ https://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/diversity-inclusion/national-womens-history-month/
