Dog Urinalysis and Fecal Exam

October 1, 2019

Both fecal analysis and urinalysis are essential tools in diagnosing various infections, parasites, and diseases. For some appointments, our client care specialists may ask you to bring in a fecal and/or urine sample. They will provide you with detailed instructions on the collection, storage, and appropriate time frame for drop off.

Why are canine fecal examinations recommended yearly?

Proactive prevention is the best option. Regular fecal examinations paired with year-round parasite prevention ensures that your pet is well protected.

If my dog’s urine test reveals a urinary tract infection, what can I do?

Your vet will always discuss the best treatment option. Treatment may include a course of antibiotics, pain medications/anti-inflammatories and possibly dietary changes.
